How a Faith Morning Routine Transformed My Life as a Busy Mom

Every morning, as I step out of my room, I see a verse on my wall that reminds me why I keep going:

“He who started the good work in you will be faithful to complete it until the day of Christ.” — Philippians 1:6

This simple verse is my anchor. It reminds me that even when I mess up or my plans don’t go as expected, God has a better plan, and He’s still shaping me.

As a mom of three little ones, I don’t always get quiet time with my Bible first thing because they often wake up early, ready to start their day. But having this verse visible as I begin my day keeps my heart focused on faith, hope, and progress—not perfection.

My faith morning routine isn’t about having everything perfectly planned or finished; it’s about embracing God’s presence and guidance amid the messiness of motherhood and entrepreneurship.

I usually start by praying, “Lord, help me do and finish everything You’ve planned for me today.” This prayer fills me with peace and the energy I need to keep moving forward, even when I stumble.

Just this past week, after I finished mopping the floor, one of my kids spilled watermelon everywhere. Instead of feeling frustrated, I saw it as an opportunity to teach gratitude and responsibility — reminding myself that nourishing their hearts and bodies sometimes looks messy, and that’s okay.

If you’re a busy mom trying to balance faith, family, and work, I hope this encourages you to create your own faith morning routine — one that doesn’t have to be perfect, but helps you stay grounded and growing, one prayer and one moment at a time.

How to Start Your Own Faith Morning Routine:

  • Place a meaningful scripture somewhere you’ll see every morning (like a wall or mirror)

  • Start with a simple prayer asking for guidance and peace

  • Include moments to thank God for small victories and lessons

  • Invite your kids to join you in prayer or quiet reflection

  • Be flexible—some mornings won’t go as planned, and that’s okay!
