The Mighty Army in Our Midst: Raising Future Leaders

When we think of soldiers, we imagine strength, resilience, and courage. But as mothers, we know that a mighty army is also being raised right here at home—one diaper at a time, one bedtime story, one patient answer to a hundred “whys” each day. We’re training future warriors, we're training future leaders, little ones who will grow to carry truth, compassion, and strength into the world.

In Reinforcements Coming, Rebekah Rising describes this beautifully: "Most are wearing diapers and dragging Teddy Bears." And isn’t that the heart of it? Our “company of warriors” may be small now, wearing mismatched socks and with sticky fingers, but each lesson in right and wrong, each moment spent in love and guidance, is part of a much bigger picture.

We’re raising the next generation of leaders, and every moment of our motherhood journey contributes to that legacy. The battles we face—the long nights, the unending piles of laundry, the constant need for patience—aren’t just part of the day-to-day. They’re building our children’s strength, integrity, and courage.

Remember, Mama, there’s a vision in the hard work we’re doing. These little ones we’re guiding are the “mighty army” that will one day stand up for what is true and right. Hold tight to that vision. Know that what you’re doing matters, far more than it may feel in the thick of it.

Let’s keep building them up—cheering them toward victory, lifting them with love, and knowing that every small act today is shaping warriors for tomorrow.
